PressPage introduces WhatsApp sharing

Allow your news to be easily shared from mobile to mobile through WhatsApp.

The WhatsApp Messenger is probably the hottest messenger service for mobile devices. The service is currently downloaded and used by over 500 million users who share more than 700 million photos and 100 million videos every single day.As of today, PressPage allows WhatsApp users to share your news directly with their peers individually and to groups.

WhatsApp Messenger is a cross-platform mobile messaging app which allows you to exchange messages without having to pay for SMS. The service is available for iPhone, BlackBerry, Android, Windows Phone and Nokia and yes, those phones can all message each other! Because WhatsApp Messenger uses the same internet data plan that you use for email and web browsing, there is no cost to message and stay in touch with your friends.

In addition to basic messaging WhatsApp users can create groups, send each other unlimited images, video and audio media messages.

The cross-platform usability of WhatsApp has made it tremendously popular. It's low entry barrier and simplicity has made it the default messenger for teams, colleagues, friends, and family group chats. It's a space we want our clients to be able to get their news in.

WhatsApp bigger than Twitter and Facebook

In April 2013, WhatsApp CEO Jan Koum said the company boasts a bigger base than Twitter, which claims 200 million monthly users. Additionally, a claim was made that WhatsApp processes some 18 billion messages a day, while by comparison, Facebook is processing a mere 10 billion.

PressPage's WhatsApp sharing

For quick individual or closed group sharing, the new WhatsApp sharing option is a simple, yet very functional and effective, addition to PressPage's mobile newsroom; an adaptive version of its webbased service.
