PressPage Product Update Q2 2016

Lists, lines, bars, pies and a lot of data

Summary

As always our development team worked hard on optimizing our platform, releasing new features and developing our APIs. This last quarter we focused a bit more on a bigger project; Statistics 3.0.

Statistics 3.0

The Statistics section is a big part of our system and is one the most used elements within the platform. It shows a variety of data to inform our users on the results of their newsroom and releases. Two main goals set to be accomplished for Statistics 3.0 were performance and accuracy and both were met!

The Statistics pages are now over 100% faster which will give a much better user experience. We also applied better filters to the data to remove bot traffic, so results are a lot more accurate.

Statistics had a big makeover but that doesn't mean we'll stop working on it. The team already has new ideas for improvements and updates so keep an eye out on our roadmap!

Expanding our channels

As PressPage is growing, more and more countries from all around the world are making use of the platform. This means we have to expand some of our features to service "region-related" clients. A good example of that is the Xing network. Xing is the largest business network in German-speaking countries. We started investigating the possiblities of integrating with this platform and one of the first added features is the Xing sharing widget. This means whenever a German release is published, it can be shared by visitors to the Xing network. More Xing features are expected later this year.

Coming up

Our Development team is constantly working on our APIs which will enable a lot of possibilties for our clients and the PressPage platform. Aside from that and some smaller features, our team will be working on big updates regarding the Distribution of content. We can't disclose too much yet but expect a lot of usabilty and feature updates later this year!
