PressPage Product Update Q4 2016

A productive end to a great year

Summary

In the last quarter of a very exciting year for PressPage, we managed to launch a great number of new features for the publishing and distribution parts of our platform. Let's take a look at the most eye-catching ones.

PressPage Mail

Managing contacts, creating and sending e-mail campaigns, can now be done directly from within PressPage. This premium upgrade is part of our ongoing project to centralize all publishing capabilities and channels. Recently added functionalities include:

The option to schedule email campaigns

A Subscribe module, which can be added to newsrooms and releases so visitors can subscribe to email campaigns

Recipient statistics that show campaign metrics in the Manager (sent, opened, clicked, bounced, unsubscribed)

Managing control

Several other updates have put our clients even more in control of their publishing platform. The new Button module allows users to create buttons with links to internal or external pages. They can be set to show as text or image, open in a new window, and can be ordered by dragging and dropping.

In the PressPage Manager, releases can now be embargoed by locking publications with a username and password. Opening a multimedia item in the Media Library now makes a button appear, which links back to the release the item was last used in. The Audio module has been rewritten to an HTML 5 version for better audio support and future-proofing the functionality.

Distribution via Twitter

Last but not least, we've implemented two new features to enhance distribution through Twitter. The URL shortener can now be toggled on/off to facilitate using original URLs in tweets, which make for better identifiable links. Furthermore, Twitter Card meta data can now be enabled for all releases. When activated, tweeting a release will generate a Twitter Card.

As always, we invite you to stay up to date by checking the roadmap in the main PressPage Manager menu (top-right corner) for upcoming functionalities!
